Working Fire Brights Rd.

12/28/06 – At 9:00 Hrs. Gretna (St. 22) and Hurt (St. 31) were dispatched to a structure fire

on Brights Rd. After dispatch advised Chief 22 that Bedford county dispatch had

received many calls for the same fire, 3rd and 4th due departments were requested. E-223 arrived to find

smoke showing from the roof, on the A, B, and D sides, of a double wide mobile home. Chief 22

 established command and noticed flashover conditions and stopped the attack crew from

 entering until precautions were made. Once ready the attack crew entered the structure and

found a large amount of fire in the living room. Upon arrival of additional apparatus and man power,

the roof was opened up and water supply was established at a near by pond. After a long overhaul with

many hot spots found, crews cleared the scene 3 hours after dispatch. Units and departments
